neil armstrong and the moon landings?

neil armstrong is a recluse and refuses to talk to the media or our younger generations about the achievement of going to the moon and back. does this give the conspiricy theorists ammunition.

Soon after Neil Armstrong learned he was to be the first to set foot on the Moon he would have realised that he was going to be the target of every journalist short of a story until well after he had shuffled off this mortal coil. So to protect himself and his family he rarely gives interviews. Rarely, not never.

I don't think the conspiracy theorists care whether he spoke out or not. Anything he says would be disbelieved by the deluded and the liars would just ignore it. However it might stop the delusion spreading further.

A really noisy court case against B. S. and a few others taken by Apollo astronauts might do some good, but most of these men are now at an age where they probably don't care all that much what some liars and loonies say.

If Neil Armstrong landed on the moon then why has no-one else landed on the moon since.

Why was the American flag fluttering as if in a strong breeze as there is no wind in space!!!

Also when they landed at the second site why did it look exactly the same as the first with exactly the same rock formations in exactly the same place.

Also the lunar module when taking off would have made a large crater from the thrusters and there was nothing.

I have yet to find any real evidence that they did land on the moon, there is definately more evidence to back up the theory that they didn't land on the moon.

Personally i think he has been told to keep quiet.Other astronaughts that were apparently going to "spill the beans" were killed in a suspicious fire on one of the following missions due to a faulty hatch that was later checked to be working okay....I can't blame Neil for keeping quiet!!!

I answered a similar question the other day and for some reason I didn't get best answer for pointing out Neil Armstrong is of the great Border clan Armstrong and that he was granted the freedom of Langholm in recognition of this. I now give you the opportunity to remedy this oversight.

No. There is no conspiracy. The landings were real. Neil Armstrong just doesn´t feel he did anything special. Just another job flying to the moon and he doesn´t want to be deified. Buzz Aldrin and the other Apollo astronauts do make public appearances and are glad to talk about their journey to the moon thus killing off any pathetic conspiracy "theory".

I think it's more likely that, as an intelligent and sensitive man, he has never had the slightest desire to be a "celeb". Good for him. And the conspiracy theorists should be treated with the disdain they deserve - why should he respond to such drivel?

How many times in your life can you answer the question:

"What were you THINKING? 'One small step for man?' Didn't you mean 'A MAN'? After all, 'man' and 'mankind' pretty much mean the same thing, don't they?"

Q: Did we really land on the Moon?

    A: Yeah.

Q: Why do so many people think we didn't?

    A: People are basically morons.

If every day of your life you were questioned with doubt about one of the biggest achievements of mankind, let alone yourself ... wouldn't you, in your older years just want some peace and quiet? Of course it give the theorists ammunition ...but at this point in his life, why should he care???? He KNOWS what he did ... case closed.

Neal Armstrong is one of many high profile people within NASA that will not talk about the "moon landings"

The people who accept conspiracy theories are living proof that Congress is right and American's are too stupid to elect a president, therefore we must have the Electorial College to do this for us!

Yes, but that's his right. Most people would not enjoy having the paprazi follow us around all day.
