1998 MGF 1.8 vvc. Window fault can you help?
A friend has just bought an MGF. The drivers side window doesn't close properly and lets the rain in. This is a known fault with these cars so I'm hoping that someone on here can tell me the fix .
Thanks in anticipation.
Come on! I'm not asking for the meaning of life here....
Can no one help me?
No, it's not an electrical issue. Everything works fine. It's an alignment problem. The window doesn't close on the seal.

Hi if you remove the inner door panel, you will see a 10mm headed bolt on either side, with what I describe as bump stop, slightly slacken them and move very slightly upwards and tighten up close window and check for fit it may take several attempts and a lot of patience.
Also it may be the rubber seal has worn if so open the roof half way and inset a thin piece of foam to expand its width a bit.
Hope this helps

Do not know that particular vehicle, but here is some advice:
If the issue is electric path, then you could open the door panel and jumper the power to the motor to lift the glass. There may also be a manual screw portion that you could use to rotate the window up.
