Squint surgery I believe is usually only performed in adults for cosmesis.

If you have had squint since you were a child then you probably would have visually adapted to it. The brain re-wires itself so that you arent seeing double vision or overlapping images. This is the reason why it is difficult to treat squint in during adulthood, because this re-wiring is extremely difficult and near impossible to alter in ages beyond ~10years old.

The bottom line is, it is theoretically possible to perform surgery or even eye exercises but do not expect great results.

If this squint however, was recently acquired then this is a different story. I dont see any reason why surgical correction of recently acquired squint is not an option.
