I have not used it, but I did take a minute to look at what it offers. My experience is that I prefer to keep my research 'at home'. In other words, I use the internet as a tool, but I have never seen it necessary to post my files online.
This is probably related to having worked with family members for years to collect information, which we intended to use for a published book. Any proceeds (not that we expected any) would have gone back into the family association fund. There was a "draft" copy for proof reading purposes, with a clear copyright notice.. yet the copy fell into the hands of someone's brother in law, who considered it "public" records. He entered the info into HIS program and posted it online.. complete with his own errors, as well as private data on living persons.
And he isn't even a family member, by descent or marriage!
I have had some whine that this means I am not willing to "share", because I no longer circulate my files. That is totally ridiculous, since a major part of the work was out of my own funds and time, while those who expected "sharing" were not willing to do so much as pay for the cost of a letter. My results were shared.
Nothing keeps you from working with another relative, to cooperate on looking for family records. I simply do not agree with the idea that we all need to post those entire files online, where they can be misused.
That is simply my opinion, based on 25+ yrs of working on genealogy.
