    TO ways i know.

    1. Goto www.wincustomize.com

and download a free software called: windowsblinds

In the program you can change the font the appearance as well.

    2. Go in to the appearance section of the display options and manual change every downdown choice to you font you want.

On the desktop, all you can do is change the size of the font (right click on the desktop and then go to Appearance tab).

Each application unfortunately has it's own specific way of doing this...MS Word uses templates (change the default template to use a different font from here on out - but it doesn't change the font of existing documents).

    To change your Window fonts

    1.Open Display in Control Panel.

2.On the Appearance tab, in Font size, click a new font size.

    Note

•To open Display, click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.

•This option enables you to enlarge the fonts used in window headers, icon labels, and menus. For information about enlarging all items on your screen, click Related Topics.

•The font size options are based on the current theme, visual style, and color scheme. For some themes, styles, or schemes, you may only have one font size option

The easiest solution i can think of, is go to "C:\WINDOWS\Fonts" assuming a default XP install

1)Copy the font you do want

2)Paste another version of it in the folder

3)Copy the filename of the font you don't want

4)Delete/rename the file of the font you don't want

5)Paste the filename onto the copied font
