Is it smart to buy a new razr on ebay?
I already have a plan and everything (smart chip), but I just want a new phone. There must be a catch bc I can get one for about 1/4 of the price of a retailer. Should I be weary?

There must be some sort of problem. Even refurbished phones are 75-80% original price most of the time.
If it is really that cheap, and they have a good rating, I would go for it. Maybe it is legit and you got yourself a cheap Razr.

I've bought lots of times trhough eBay (over 6000 transactions, moistly with the same vendor) and found that it's not smart to buy anything on eBay unless it's from a very reliable vendor. Then it's probably better to deal direct through the vendor's website (if possible) elimnating the 15% - 18% it costs them to sell through eBay.
eBay is all too often more of an eScam.
Check LetsTalk.com (no I don't work there). I've used them a coup[le of times as have my friends with no complaints.

Leery? Probably. If you have problems with the phone, you may not have any customer support.
