My son was 2months old when he started sucking on his fist and fingers. By the time he was 4months, he was drooling a lot. He's now 6months and has two teeth already!
Your son may be teething too. Although a bunch of people told me my son was just hungry and that's why he was sucking on his hand so much.

Sucking on his own hands is great!! Why complain? He is learning to soothe himself, nothing wrong with it. My children all had bottom teeth by 2 or 3 months old.

It's not that big of a problem he may just be doing it because when he was in the womb that's what he did..It will probably go away soon...If he still does it when he is one then you have reason to worry..By the way does he actually suck on his hands or just his fingers??

Just keep his nails trimmed & his hands clean. Babies learn by putting things into their mouths, so chances are, he is only discovering his hands and not teething. All three of my children chewed their hands at that age, and only my daughter got her teeth 'early' (4 months) Give him hand rattles to play with that are soft or textured and safe to chew (you will probably have to wrap his fingers around them) It's normal, dont worry! :)

He's probably teething already. It's not really a problem, but a phase. Later he'll want to put everything in his mouth, not only his hands. You can't really do anything, just be patient :)

Perfectly normal.
My son used to do the same, and now that he is 3 years old he does not suck his hand or his thumb (and he does not use a binky either)

Mine does to don't worry it is normal. Just let him, though if he is like my son he could be hungry or just for something to suck on (my 3 month old won't take a soother).

i was working at a daycare center and 2 of my children sucked there hands and they were both 2 years old one stopped on his own when he was fully potty trained and the other had to use a spray on his hands that makes them taste bad because he was causing blisters on his fingers that worked for a little while until he got used to it maybe if you do it early enough you baby will stop good luck

Why are you worried about this? Not a biggie at all.
Sometimes they do this because they're hungry. Sometimes for comfort. Sometimes because they're teething. My son teethed at 3.5 months... so it's possible.
It might just be that he wants to nurse.

Let him suck on his hands, it's normal. But if you are that worried about it, start him with a pacifier. He may be getting teeth slowly.
