how to get points?

you can take advantage of the NOT answered questions by going to a category and reranking the list of questions from least to most.

Answer those questions and take advantage of the only answerer and getting best answer by default.

When you ask a question you get 5 points deducted, you could recognise this as a cost for asking the question. When you answer a question you get 2 points. When your answer gets chosen as the best answer you get 10 points. When you vote for a best answer you get 1 point. So it's quite simple really.
