Is Group B Strep linked to Fibromyalgia?
I'm wondering if my compromised immune system due to Fibromyalgia may have caused me to carry the Group B strep Germ during pregnancy.

I see you're question has been up for a few days, so let me go ahead and answer it for you :)
As far as I am aware, there is no link between fibromyalgia and GBS. GBS is found in a sizeable percentage of sexually active women. Once your labor had started, if you were already GBS (+) then you should have received a dose of penicillin (unless you were allergic). Fibromyalgia is a disease of pain and inflammation not one of immunocompromise so it would not have caused your GBS.
I hope this helps.
