No reason to start a relationship... But I can say that you should just be his friend... Get to know him, and let him know you. Offer to spend time with him, like to go to the mall or see a movie. If he's gonna like you, it's going to be because it's his own right and choice to like who he likes.

Like some have said.... Be yourself. It if it is not meant to be, then forcing it will only hurt you more.
