Is it ok to ask the same question in Yahoo Answers in 2 different categories?

That could fall under the cliche "thin ice". Yahoo does say that one should not post a repeated question. I'll let you read it for yourself and see the vagueness in it.

I wouldn't have any problem with users performing this action , you get two sets of opinions and after all it's your "hard earned" points you are spending.

The community guidelines express such an action is spamming of the community so you may want to wait a few minutes. However the community guidelines generally refer to posting in the same category.

It is difficult to find the perfect category to post your question or questions. At least that is what it says in the community guidelines.

two times in 2 sections is in all probability ok -- it relatively is intense reposting this is a controversy. in many cases, if i visit submit returned in yet another section, I do some straightforward rewording to make it somewhat distinctive.
