Does anyone know if the Royal Mail Strike will effect me posting a Parcelforce Parcel through the post office?
Whenever I need to send a parcel I usually go into the post office and send parcelforce 24 or 48. I need to send one tomorrow but I am unsure of which part of Royal Mail are striking.
Does anyone know?

Parcelforce and Post Office Counters are not on strike. Neither of them is part of Royal Mail.

Thousands of people sell these on ebay, so best of luck. Normally you can go to the post office and post them yourself. Use a out of town or village post office where the queue time is considerably less. Once you know how much they weigh in standard packages it is possible to stamp them and post them but you will need counter service for recorded delivery or special delivery.

I hope they are still operating as I have 5 parcels on my front step awaiting collection. I only booked the delivery yesterday so I would like to think they would have informed me at the time of booking if there was going to be a problem. I will let you know if they are collected.

it will not effect you as they are a different company the only thing you have to keep in mind is that there service is stretched to the max at the moment. I work in a post office and we sent two 24 hour fine today.

You should be OK - Parcelforce is unaffected and all Post Offices should be open as normal.
