Problem with my D Drive?
I just bought a computer program called Movie Edit Pro 12 today. The thing is that when I put the CD in the CD tray and close the door nothing happens. I have tried restarting my computer, going through My Computer to the D Drive and loading it that way. When I tried it through the D Drive directly I noticed that the D Drive didn't show the program in the D Drive but when I put a music CD in it works perfectly.
So the question is, what could be/is my problem and how do I correct the problem?
I'm going to take the program back to the store tomarow thinking that it is a random blank CD.
I'm using the Windows XP Program Home Edition.
I just found out that I have no more capacity on my D drive. Does this have anything to do with it, if so how can I fix it? I just put in my Mircosoft Office and it read it. I'm really confuesed.

The problem may be with the cd not necessarily your drive. To test this theory out simply put a pc game disk in your drive and see if it reads it. If it does then it may be the software. Sometimes, if a data disk doesn't read right away try opening the drive tray and spinning the disk a little bit. Sometimes if the cd lens hasn't been cleaned in awhile it may not pick up the autorun file at the beginning of the disk.

Try putting it into the drive and running a restart. If that doesn't work, you got a bad CD-ROM

if it isn't the CD then it might be your drive.
maybe it cant read CD-ROMS but it can read regular CDs
