been reading up on it but cant really pin it down - thers like a love-hate relationship towards these ppl ...why its just a style? Yeah actually just want to know what the style is exactly...any references...sites etc?

Emo refers to emotional people and by the way emo is also a style nowadays

I think it's short for emotional.
Emo music is full of "life sucks, I want revenge, nobody understands me, it's not fair, he left me and I'll never love again, it's all your fault" and other pathetic stuff like that.
No wonder so many teens are on Ridilin.
