It is not improving. The Vet says she doesn't have much meds for it and that it should be healthy by now. I am looking for other remedies as i obviously have no other options left. Have you experienced this. I think its a respiratory infection. The cage is clean its in a warm place etc. Also giving it a bit of yogurt to replenish cultures in its stomach. Any other advice?

I recently took my Siberian(miniature) hamster to the vet - he game me some antibiotics I need to ad to a liter of water and he told me to give it to the hamster for four days. I know that some antibiotics can kill a hamster and that the local vets kind of feel their way around because they are not completely sure what to do with such a small rodent. All they always give it is more antibiotics. Its day 8 and it recovered but its pee is still brown indicating that it might have a urinary tract infection. She looks a little better not so lethargic any more - I have some of the antibiotics left and is thinking of replacing her drinking water with it as before for another few days. Is there anyone out there who knows if this is plausible. Just until she looks a little better? Completely heals?

How long does it stay in your body and able to interfere with medication etc? If I take it 2 hours b4 medications - would that help? Please could you show me reference...;) if possible. Thanks

Our African Grey has been paralyzed since Friday and that has been 4 days in total. We took her to a vet and he said it was her liver, gave her an injection and that was it, she is still the same. Any suggestions? Anyone with a similar experience?

Do you know anyone or a story about someone close to you that were in one at that time and whats the story. Its so sad ive just read about a place called The Willard Hosptial and gosh its crazy how 54 000 individuals passed through during the 126 years of its operation and how they either treated patients by elctro shocking or nueroleptic drugs which mostly sedated patients so they didnt know how small their living quarters were. They didnt even cure anyone...HECTIC!!Whats the point...Oh and my gosh most of the people didnt even really have problems to start off with.
