Is there any food that tastes better burned?

Alot of people like burned cheese, like pieces that have fallen off of pizza and burned

Not necessarily, my family prefers hashbrowns and onions a bit on the burned and dark side. Fried Okra on the dark or burned is great. There is a point when burned gets bitter, so I'd say NOT to a Crisp so to speak just almost. Dark Brown but not Black. Onions, sweet green peppers, potatoes, brocilli,and many veggies have a different taste when cooked to a medium to dark brown. Blackened will be bitter.

Creme brulee means burnt cream. I would argue that the sugar burned on the top tastes better than regular sugar. Also charring on steaks, burgers etc from the grill makes those foods taste better although not necessarily burnt completely to a crisp. Other than that I'd say most foods do indeed taste pretty bad.

I like my pizza a little burned on the edges, I like marshmallows around a campfire burned, I like to char the outside of my steak but have the inside nice and pink.

Nope... You have got me stumped on that one... I don't think there is such a thing as purposefully burning food for better flavor...I was gonna say sugar but it isn't burnt to make candy. Caramelizing isn't the same thing as burning. Good question :)

I like hot dogs burned on the outside.

Toasted Marshmallows taste best with a nice burnt layer on the outside!!!!!

Creme Brule

Carmelized onions.

Sometimes hot dogs off the grill.

Roast peppers, of course.

I would say in my opinion bacon and onions.
