why has windows vista failed to click?

    Personally - because it does not support all of the peripherals that it should. People who have XP aren't guaranteed their devices will work with Vista. It is also a memory hog, if you have anything less than 2GB of RAM, it runs sluggish with the new Aero graphics.

    As others have mentioned, with the several "flavors" of Vista, it is still expensive. I'll wait until Service Pack 1 comes out before I even consider it.

    Because there are so many soft wares which are not compatible with Vista, but we were using in earlier versions of Windows, otherwise Vista is feature rich and secure

    also of "Black Screen of Darkness" issue .. which is the hardline approach microsoft has taken towards piracy
