Photoshop font color question?

I'm using CS3. I have text in the color red, i want it to slowly change to yellow so its red at the top, becomes a mix in between red and yellow in the middle, then yellow at the bottom. How do I do this?

Create your text and then right-click on the text layer in the Layers palette. In the popup menu choose "Blending Options". Here you will get the chance to add styles to the layer like Drop Shadow, Bevel, and Gradient Overlay, the one you want. Click on Gradient Overlay to turn it on and get options for the gradient. Click the default gradient shown to get some pre-made gradients or create a new gradient of your own.

    Hi.

Your problem can be easily be overcome. Use attached link to photoshop tutorial that will guide you on how to do several colors text. Only different you need to apply here is to use gradient tool to achieve effect you need. So select red as foreground color, and yellow as background. And draw it true your font.

Even easiest solution is to enter text, hold ctrl key and click on the layer thumb, that will select only text in the layer, then just use gradient tool, and that it.

    Anyway check the tutorial also.

    Best Regards

Then choose font, Italics, bold or underline, and size. click ok. Then right click and go to Format Wordart. Then colour>fill effects. Then choose 2 colours and choose red and yellow. Then choose the shading style u want. click ok then copy and paste it into photshop.
