So Isreal has always felt entitiled to the land because of God's promice and Ishmeal became the Father of the Palestians and as the first born felt his inheritance entitled his heirs to be the rightfull owners of he land. Thru the years, the Isreali's have been disobediant to God's commands and were scattered across the world. After world war 2, the international tribunals decided that the best protection they could offer to the Jewish people was to set asisde a small portion of the original Holy land to once again belong to the Hebrews of old. You can imagine the dismay of the current occupants that were told they no longer owned or had right to the land that had been their homeland for hundreds of years. Like if the Seminoles knck on my door tomorow and tell me to move cause they want their land back and have the consent of the govt to do so, I am going to be a little peaved. Several surrounding Arab nations took in the Palestenian refugees but most were homeless anf at the mercy of others. Every Arab nation raised up arms against the old yet fledging nation and since 1948 when it was ordained as a soveriegn nation, it has been down a path lined with thorns. The Arab nations continue to insist that Isreal does not have the right to exhist and most of their text books exclude Isreal in the teachings, but consider them to be occupiers of Palestian lands and continue to call for their withdrawal or extiction.
