How old was the phantom of the opera when he died?

i would say fairly old althought the book does not say. the movie implies that raoul lives to be an old man and the phantom was older than raoul. so i would guess around 70.

In all of my information, and I am a big phantom of the opera fan, I have never seen a passage as to when he died.

the book and everything else that i have read about POTO dose not say when he died bit i think that he was older than Raul

I think one could guess mid-40's?
