Halloween is not the name for October 31st, it's real name is 'All Hallows Eve', which means it is the day before 'All Hallows Day' or 'All Saints Day'.

So instead of dressing up as scary people, people should be dressing up as Saints to celebrate there lives.

I agree....Halloween seems to be an excuse for people to wear as little as possible...although, I'll admit that some of the costumes can be very creative.
