I have have an external preloader in Flash CS3 (using Actionscript 2.0)....Help?!!1?
It works fine when you view it in flash....But when I put it into a browser (either Firefox or I.E.), the preloader wont work! It won't load my external video!
I used a tutorial to make this preloader....And I don't remember where it is.
But why does it look and work fine in the flash preview, but when I take it into a browser, it refuses to load my external flash movie?
Anyone who can help me fix this, and/or give me ideas on what to do, I will give the 10 points, and be EXTREMELY greatfull.
Thanks.

there are two types of referencing: Absolute and Relative. in this situation, a relative link will do, as you are working with files on 1 machine or server. when u use loadmovie(); or loadmovienum();, you need to make sure it is linking to the swf file, using a link such as "mymovie.swf", or "folder/mymovie.swf". if this doesnt work, more information is required to correctly answer your question. feel free to email me, ive been working with flash for about a year and know a few of the ropes.
