Best way to rent a car: online or in person?

i need to rent a car so which way will get me the best deal, just going to the place and getting a car or booking the car ahead of time online?

please suggestions only, i know what category i chose.

    Usually when you do it in person they make your orders correct.

    Countless times have I ordered something online and it got mixed up with something else or not put down to be ordered.

    In person. Then you know what you are getting. And if anything goes wrong, you can be right there to straighten it out.
