James Cook - as in the explorer - was definitely not Scottish! He was from Marton, in Middlesbrough (which is in England)! That's why they have Captain Cook's Birthplace Museum there!
And I think the person ^ above ^ is probably the one that you're on about!

yahoo is also a search engine. wikipedia should be tried also and then ud get a formal answer. you've just wasted 5 points mate
