Arm Pain from Weightlifting?
I have been lifting weights for about 2 months now (2 dumbells at 6.8KG each hand) and when I put the weights back to relax, I get a bad pain on the bottom of my right forearm. Can someone please tell me what the pain is/how to stop it. Thanks in advance.

It sounds as if you have strained your forearm flexor or extensor muscle. Which one will depend on which side hurts. Looking at your arm with palm up extensor is the one on the right side, flexor on the left. This could be the result of bad form or overtraining. If its bad form that means you are swinging or heaving the weights rather than lifting under control. Overtraining is not giving the muscle time to recover and grow. Arm training no more than twice a week is enough. Rest for two weeks and then resume , gently at first with less weight to start with and build slowly back to your working weights again.

If you are in pain while exercising, thats your muscles way of telling you they need a rest. Take a rest before you do some damage. Also, you should go to your family doctor and ask them. Good Luck.

You might have pulled a muscle. It could be more serious than that, so I would go see your doctor just in case. You don't want to mess around with your health.
