how do you apply mascara without getting it on your eyelids?

when I put on my eye makeup, I start w/ liner or shadow, then I curl my lashes and use loreals double extend mascara. My problem is when I apply my mascara it somehow gets on my eyelids and it looks as though I have dark liner on. Any suggestions to keep the mascara off my eyelids? thanks.

try not to bring the "wand" down so close to the bottom of your lashes. Try to stay more toward the end of your lashes. And if you've have eyeshadow on your lids then a little smudge should wipe off easily. Also, try using less mascara and clearing off the end of the "wand" of debris and clumps.

Try doing mascara halfway down your eyelashes and up; this will avoid direct contact with your eyelid. If you're getting it on the bottom, wait a minute without looking around and swivveling your eyes so that it dries. Also, you might want to get a brown or dark brown mascara to suit your colouring better.

earlier you prepare your mascara, create a "drop fabric" decrease than your decrease lashes. a thank you to try this? Use your loose face powder and positioned a heavier than established layer decrease than your eyes. prepare your mascara gently, then any blunders unquestionably brush away once you get rid of the drop fabric layer of powder. On a area be conscious, Maybelline's great Lash has a bent for smudging, working, clumping. which you need to to objective benefit's Plush or wellbeing care expert's formulation Mineral positioned on Mascara. those the two are much less complicated to coach and don't do those undesirable issues to your eyes. attempt experimenting with some new mascara's and that i think of your difficulty would be resolved. :) ultimate of luck! You can try applying the mascara with a qtip - dab the swab on the end of the mascara brush, and gently rub across lashes, this makes them look like they have four coats on without looking overdone

Do your liner first, mascara, then eyeshadow. This way if you get mascara on your eyelid you can wipe it off with a q-tip dipped in moisturizer. Then apply eyeshadow.

Try putting on the mascara before you apply your eyeliner. Maybe you will not need the eyeliner after all.

hold the brush under your eylash and blink. then take and eyelash brush and brush through. dont touch it for like 5-10 min. so u dont smudge it onto ur eyelids. wash off ammidiatly if u do tho

as you apply it, keep your eyes wide open. then when you blink, you are probably just blinking too hard, so blink softly or try not to at all until it's dry.
