It is certainly time for Max to stand down. I'll try and provide a balanced view...

Much of F1's decision making process is well known to be 50% "grudge attacks". Take the recent spying scandal. Whilst it is 100% true that McLaren were guilty of a certain amount of "spying" and they were rightly punished, Max's comments afterwards (at Spa) indicate much of the problem... "His budget... His Team... His this, his that" - not a case of "McLaren this, McLaren that". Max and Ron haven't got on with each other for years, and when the opportunity was presented, Max grabbed it. Personally speaking I think the fine is vastly over and above the crime, but I'll state again, they were caught with their hands in the till.

On the other side, the sport has seen a boom during Max's reign, and although he is commonly believed to favour Ferrari, it's quite difficult to back up this statement when you remember certain events in recent history... For example, if Max was biased to Ferrari, would he have introduced rulings which hit the Italian team hard (2003) or put them out of contention (2005, where tyre changes mid-race were banned)?

But in conclusion, yes Max should step down, he's too personal in his rulings this season.

I think it has come to the time when the lunatics are running the asylum.

It is way past time for a complete shake up of the whole FIA, it should be run by people that know what they are talking about, possibly ex F1 drivers or anyone with half a brain.

Bye bye Max, it's time to go. Why you're still here we'll never know. You did some good, but then you wanted to be a God, which was not granted. You didn't like the FOTA boys. So from your pram you threw your toys. You wanted cuts. You wanted KERS. But now it's only you they curse. Your pygmy friend called Bernie E used to sit upon your knee. But all he wants is lots of wonga, * which sadly means you're in the wrong(a). You'll have more time to have a spank, to visit girls, and have a "blank". ** They'll tie you up, they'll whip you well. You'll go from heaven and back to hell. So long, dear Max. What will we do without your presence on Yahoo? In my heart you'll have a place. You'll be with me for every race. Sob, sob, sob. I feel so sad. Even though you're bad, bad, bad. Please stay away and just be gone. Let us fans enjoy F1. * Sorry, I don't know if "wonga" is a term used outside the UK. It means wads of money. ** Please feel free to enter your own choice of word here. I really couldn't think of anything to rhyme with spank. ;-) EDIT: @Firefox - great link, thanks. However, the word I had in mind which rhymes with "spank" is probably best replaced by "blank". Family site and all that! LOL!

Finally! A question about Max Mosley needed to step-down. Yes, it is about time the FIA has a change in who is boss. I agree with blitz_0623, he is too powerful! Plus many people hate him included me. Hey, isn't he biased towards Ferrari?

Clarkson, that's funny. I think it's time for regime change in F1 altogether. Obviously the aristocracy that has been running things for the last few decades doesn't agree, but their influence is stifling the sport, ruining its cache with the world at large and is pandering to the rich and elite, while making a living off the general public. Change will come, but will it be in time to salvage the good will and commercial advantage of F1?

I wish the next FIA boss to be an ex-driver. Anyone with a bit of racing experience would do better than Mosley.

Yes definitely time for Max to go. He is far to much in the pocket of Ferrari. He has made it so expensive he closes down the smaller teams. Maybe we need someone like Murray Walker a man with lots of impartial knowledge.

Most definately, he is too snug in bed with Bernie and has too many conflicts of interest.

The FIA needs someone tough who knows the political machinations of the sport, the needs of the teams and most importantly the needs and desires of us, the fans

    Maybe i'm just fantasising again. . . .

Yeah, somebody not British to stop helping Crybaby Lewis.

He was a second choice anyway, the President of the Portuguese Automobile Club was supposed to take over but he died with stomach cancer. That's why Max is there.
