Honestly, I love the Controversy?

I mean I'm all for a playoff and everything

but I think with a playoff, these regular season (conference games) won't mean anything

BCS may be crap but it does make College football special and interesting

its asking for more than just being the most talented team

but its asking you to be perfect everyweek

Am I the only 1 that feels this way?

Update:

Steph: Kentucky is clearly a better team than Oregon St. (if Cincinnati can blow out Oregon St.Cal should too)

Update 2:

maybe james but I'm just saying...

I mean last year in the NFL the Texans beat the colts, and nobody really cared. you can't do that in College football. no sir (USC fans can testify to that)

It really is a bunch of hooey.

Explain why #1 LSU falls four spots while #2 cal falls 8.

Finally, somebody who gets it. Controversy is good for college football. Without the controversy generated by the BCS, do you really think anybody would care about Rutgers, Boise State, or USF outside of their respective fan bases?? Better yet - do you think these teams would even have any possibility of having their games on TV? Better yet - without the BCS, just what would some of the SEC honks on the board cry over when their teams either aren't ranked high enough - or fall in the rankings??

BCS is crap. If the NFL had it the Chargers would have probably been the Champs in 06' instead they where out of it immediatley. And how much fun would another month of very meaningful college football be? Once it happens people will wonder why it was ever anything different.

no youre not the only one that feels that way. but just imagine the drama that would be created with a season ending month and a half 16 to 20 team tourney! the regular season would still be important; and most important a true champion would be crowned. boise state, michigan, auburn, lsu, usc, texas, okies, whoever...they would have actually won the tourney!

This is an answer to Stephen K's question. LSU lost to a ranked team that only had 1 loss to a highly ranked team.

The BCS is a joke. For accurate Ratings I use the BGS Power Ratings, found right here on Yahoo!

not necessarily, if you create a playoff among the 6 major conf. winners, with 2 at large bids (8-team playoff) you would still have to win your conf to get in, therefore every lose would count, its fairly hard to win theses conf. with multiple losses, i think in this scenario you would get the best of both worlds.

    I kind of agree.

a team loses one game and "the season is over"?

Then again, BCS is better than a coaches poll.
