    there were a few disney made for tv movies where the son was a robot called Chip. It was called Not Quite Human in 1987 and it had a couple of sequels

    I don't know if it was show but there was a made for tv movie called Almost Human with Alan Thicke. I think they made a couple of them, they were on Disney Channel.
