It depends how badly burnt it is. If it just caught in the bottom of the pan, decant it onto a new pan without scraping in the burnt bits and add salt and lemon juice (vinegar works, but not as well). Heat gently, and hopefully it'll be okay. Not excellent, but okay. :)
If it's burnt to a crisp then sadly it's the end for that stew. Put hot water and some washing up liquid/dish soap in the pan and let it soak ('cos it's gonna be a doozie to clean otherwise) and make an omelette. :)

If it's not real intense - throw in a cut up potato or two, and that will "soak" up some of the burnt taste.
Potatoes are good for absorbing things like too much salt, so it might work for this, but if the burnt taste is real strong, there's not much you can to do fix it. If the meat itself doesn't taste burnt - fish it out and start fresh with the liquid and veggies.
Sorry - forgot to mention that after the potato has cooked and hopefully removed the bad taste, you remove it.

Unfortunately it can't be removed, even with a potato or two..it'll just make the potatoes taste burnt too.
If you cooked it for yourself and YOU don't mind the taste *yuck* you could eat it - it's not unhealthy it's just nasty tasting, but throwing it out would be a better decision. Eating it could be traumatic..and give you 'stew flashbacks' for years! LOL Just kidding you a bit..
