What is a book of business? I'm in sales and my boss wants to see it. I don't know what she's talking about.

It's basically your call sheet...data and info about the people who have made purchases from you in the past, your current sales activity, contact names, numbers and etc. If you feel like you're on the way out (you're about to get the boot) and it's not in your contract to share this kind of information, be careful what you decide to do with it.

If I felt I wasn't being treated fairly I would just have to take my info with me when I go...you have to realize how much easier you could be replaced if you just turn this info over.

Bottom line, she may just want to make sure that you're doing your job. It's up to you how detailed you want to make the information you give her.

It is the people or businesses you are calling on. Your boss wants to check your activity, as he/she should. If your prospects are sufficient enough you won't generate enough revenue to stay working.
