Should any team be selected on the basis of colour rather than merit?
Jake White has stated that after the 2007 the SA selectors will be under massive Government (ANC) pressure to select a Springbok team on the basis of colour and not merit. Is it the politician’s role to become involved in areas of sport? Is this not racism in the guise of a search for equity?

Yes & No
I feel it was necessary to to do so in the past in order to bring the players of colour into the main frame,BUT it has been 14 years now since this has been going on & if they have not found a good black player by now, they never will. I feel it is doing SA sport a great diservice to select a player based on the colour of his skin.
Merit is the only way for me.
By the way I am a person of colour from SA!
