I am looking into buying a Honda Civic with a salvage title.?
Carfax reports that the title was salvaged at 25,000 miles. The car has 125,000 now. Is it still worth buying?

Find out why it was salvaged. Stolen? Accident? Obviously it still runs well so just take it to a mechanic and have him look it over. Keep in mind it will be a hassle with the DMV so make sure the owner has taken care of things like new brakes and smog. It will also be a harder resell. Keep in mind you may be able to find a clean title civic for about the same price as what they are probably asking.

Well. You best spent $1600 up to now. If you repair it up slightly and the vehicle will get you round for a yr or 2, it will owe you not anything, fairly. What demands to be constant? Does it have got to be constant earlier than it may be pushed? Get estimates on what it demands earlier than you do whatever else. OR - You can select to re-promote it if you are inclined to lose a bit cash now as a substitute than making an investment extra in a vehicle which will continuously be a salvage car, regardless of how a lot you repair it up. If you promote it once more now for $one thousand, all you will have misplaced is $six hundred, (good, and taxes and costs) proper? But if I used to be promoting it, my moral sense could make me claim the complete salvage name factor and take the loss. It is a form of a rough reside and study difficulty, I understand. Next vehicle you purchase, appear for renovation files, READ the forms earlier than you signal whatever, and get it inspected by way of an impartial supply. It sucks that you just bought lied to, bud.
