Depends on the day you take it, if you take it the first day of your period you are fully protected from day one.
If you start the 2-5 day of your period you have to use a bareer protection for a week.
If you start any othr day you need a bareer protection for a hole month.
Good luck! ;D

you will get your period when the pill now tells your body to. That last row that is a different color, that is now your period week.
Apx seven days from when you started to take the pill you will begin to be protected from conception. For the pill to be effective, you must take it at the same time everyday.
If you are not in a monogamous relationship, you'll need to use condoms as well to protect you from STDs. Once you are in a monogamous relationship, you'll both need to be tested for STDs before you do away with the condoms.

To prevent pregnancy: It varies with the pill you take - check the pamphlet included with the medication. Some claim to work in a week (if you take it at the same time every day), some say it takes a month.
It can take up to 3 months to regulate your period.
Check with your doctor or try to find a website for that particular medication to be sure.

generally about 10 days. The doctor will tell you to use another form of birth control until those days are up so you don't become pregnant.
I have tried several pills, and they all had a 10 day start period.
Stay away from ortho tricyclen lo. It messed me up lots.
And NEVER take the depo provera shot!!! It gave me fibromyalgia (chronic pain) in my left side (the side I was given the shot on).

Depends when you start it.
If you take it on the first day of ur period then it starts working from day one.
If you take it the Sunday AFTER ur period then you must wait 7 days for the pill to start workin.

because of the fact delivery administration does no longer shelter you from STDs. purely a condom can try this. that is great that your gf is on delivery administration, as you're suitable approximately it being greater functional against being pregnant. besides the incontrovertible fact that oral delivery administration and different contraceptives, such because of the fact the delivery administration earrings and photographs, do no longer shelter you or her from STDs. Pulling out/taking flight (regardless of you choose to call it) is likewise for the prevention of being pregnant, no longer STDs. the sole time this is risk-free to no longer use condoms is whilst the two one among you're monogamous and the two one among you have at present been checked for STDs and HIV/AIDS, and had destructive effects of course. regardless of in case you know you and your better half have been monogamous, you may desire to the two be examined each and every 6 months just to ascertain. undergo in suggestions which you do no longer might desire to have intercourse to get HIV/AIDS, and the final element you choose to do is provide your better half an STD.

I would give it AT LEAST 2 months to get in your system good. So use a back-up method until then.
