I own a book called The Feeling of Being Stared At.

A variety of surveys have shown that most people believe they can feel unseen stares (Sheldrake 1994). In his article "Can we tell when someone is staring at us?"

I have conducted some experiments and have found that I can get people to look at me, when their attention was not originally directed toward me and they could not have seen me even peripherally, i.e. they look (up from a book or newspaper) right at me. I seem to be able to accomplish this by focusing attention on that person, i.e. I wonder what they are reading, I wonder if they are in pain. Generally I mentally focus upon them and very often they respond. On the other hand I have often looked up into the eyes of a person staring at me and almost immediately, they will look away.

Conduct some experiments yourself, but watch the stalker laws lol.

This is very common when there's a good spirit around. They don't want to scare you, so they don't show themselves, completely. You feel them, turn to see them and you'll feel like someone was there. Happens to me a lot. Happened to my son in his grandma's house after his step grandpa died. Hope that helps.
