Need help with iPod Classic (160Gb)?

I recently acquired an iPod classic and I have having trouble putting my songs on it.

I had no problems syncing my library with only one CD, but when I put the rest of my music into the libraby, It will not copy.

I have tried both manually and automatically, and all of my songs are in the proper format. I don't know what to do, and I am getting very frustrated.

The few songs I currently have on my iPod work fine, so I don't think it is a hardware glitch.

can anyone help?

Update:

All of the songs are already on my computer. I am not doing CD to iPod trans.

and all of the songs play on the computer.

Update 2:

All the songs are in itunes. iTunes and the iPod are up to date. I JUST got the bloody thing on Saturday. I don't think software is the issue (I already updatred the iPod on Saturday)

Update 3:

I tried it with the automatic sync.

it didn't work.

so i chaeckd the manually manage music button.

still didn't work.

ok ... are all the songs in iTunes?? you must have iTunes for it to work properly.

first of all with all the new products coming out apple is updating the software more than usual. so in iTunes, select HELP from upper tool bar across the top of the screen. and then select check for updates. allow it to up date if need be. also if iTunes prompts you to update your iPod do so. everything has to be as up to date as possible so the iPod can communicate with itunes properly.

make sure all music is in iTunes and when you connect the iPod to the computer, the first screen is called the summary screen. make sure you don't have manually manage music selected and go to the tab that says music - make sure that you have it set the way you want it to work.

feel free to email me if i can help!!
