A poll of things I see?

It seems like this - tell me I'm wrong. When I see an answer that I think is mean-spirited I try to go to the answerer's profile and email then to ask them to: a) develop their idea a little more for me; and b) relate whether they know that they were rude, abrupt, short, abusive, etc. When I get to the profile I generally find that they do not allow emails be sent to them. I wonder if they're hiding or what? Why the lack of desire to peacefully discourse?

I disagree with the first answerer above me. If their answers or questions tend to be rude like that, I think they block their e-mail because they ARE trolls and they don't want to hear about how rude they were.

)( to prevent stalkers or trolls attacking them via their email.

)( they prefer to keep no correspondence between themselves and other Yahoo! participants.

although you referred to it as peacful discourse not everybody will treat it that way. I have had some nasty remarks where I have had to report them to Yahoo.
