I should start by saying I'm from Boston.

I would slap George across the face and tell him to WAKE UP!!

You have one of the best managers to ever live, and you give him a pay cut because you haven't won a world series in 8 years? Get real. You need to know superstar hitters CAN'T fix shotting pitching!!

Not to mention you could lose some free agents because of being a tight-*** when offering Torre a contract.

Good luck King George, Don Mattingly won't cut it, I promise you.

To George.... I would tell him to make one last attempt to see that his sons respect and continue his one best trait as far as Yankee fans are concerned and that is the belief that "Winning is everything and losing is nothing" (Lombardi) and do everything possible to win. Yankee fans don't care how much the Yankees spend and neither should the Sons.

The rest of the country may hate "the Boss" but a Yankee fan can only love a guy that cares nothing about money... JUST WIN!

My worry is that his two sons will be running things and if they were any good, why was Swindel, only a son-in-law, set to be in charge until a nasty divorce.

I would beg Joe Torre to stay. Tell A-Rod how much I appreciate him. Ask Derek Jeter to marry me. And tell George Steinbrenner you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Then take the entire team out partying and Red Sox bashing.

i would tell him to start investing in some good pitchers if he wants to see a ring next year.and to take some tips from the rockies that you don't need a 200 million dollar pay roll to win games.im a yankees(and rockies) fan,but i think steinbrenner is a greedy bastard that let an awsome manager leave becuase he hasnt won a ws in quite a few years.

you win 4 ws in 5 years and your expected to win it every year.what a dumbass

I would tell them how I think the Yankee organization is a dictatorship by trying anything they can do bring the best players in baseball to the team and their absolutely outrageous pay they give to some of their players just because they always have some extra money in their pocket.

being a yankee hater , i really think the problem in the bronx is steinbrenner himself, and his decisions. he should mold some minor league players and get some young guys, not all the old big name all stars. hey look at the rockies......george give it to the kids man. you have had tons of sucsess, but i think its over.

I'd tell george to quit now and just sell the Yankees to Torre.

i'd tell the Yankees that i'll still love them no matter what and that THEY SHOULDN'T GET RID OF ANYONE THIS YEAR.

i mean, wtf..they won't go after a-rod if he opts out?! why wouldn't they do that?!

Thank you. Thank you very much. Here goes:

George. You ain't never been no good at baseball. You iz dumb. It's okay to die now, George. Go to the light! Go to the light, George!!

I would tell him..."Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate...leads to suffering."

Steinbrenner IS the evil Sith Lord.

I would tell him what a major mistake he made. I wish Matingly Gerardi or whoever else that will be the new manager good luck but it will not be the same.
