Why is it that people can solve dumb problems with big answers but yet answer big problems with dumb answers?

What I mean by the question is that, there are many deep philosophical questions facing our world today, but instead of finding comprehensive solutions to these problems, instead we tend to ignore them in lieu of just surviving. To make up for this affront, we instead decide on solving life's redundant questions in a big way. I think that this is mankind's greatest tragedy; and, until we are ready to face it, we are all doomed to make repeats in our lives and in history over and over again.

The big questions don't have simple answers. I think there are plenty of people that are trying to answer them.

I think it's a shame that more people aren't doing something instead of asking questions that don't have an aswer at this time.

We know so many solutions, and yet finding people willing to roll up their sleeves and work is impossible. That has nothing to do with questions, but everything to do with answering the worlds problems.

Because that is how life works. It is easier for people to just simply ignore the huge problems that are facing them and leave them to people later on. Step back and take a look at the world right now...don't think subjectively though, look at all of our problems. Every action, whether it seems good or bad at the time, always ends up bad for someone. Our whole world is going down the tubes. It is just a matter of time before God takes it into his hands and presses the undo button and starts over. There really is no real way that we can undo this mess that we call a world.

Usually big problems required mutilple small problems to be solved. It takes a lot of work, patience and time to solve the mutiple small problems. The immediate reward for solving these small problems is little to none so it is hard for people to stay on track and focus on the big picture which is solving the Big Problem.

When you are focused on self, small problems are gigantic. The field of view for the big picture is obscured.

It is the "can't see the forest for the trees" dynamic.

You have to refocus on service to others, bearing in mind that your self is part of that group.

I hope this wasn't a dumb answer or mere rhetoric.

    C. :)!!

I think it's because we have to give an answer, no matter what. I mean, can you really imagine knowing question, and not bothering to think of an answer when you might be able to solve it? and we give big answers to small questions to make up for not knowing things.

yeah, when i read ur questions,i remember the teachings i read in the bible,we r good to see the mistakes or dirt of others but we never see the big logs crossed to our own eyes.we easily judge the wrong doings of other people yet we never realized we commit more wrong doings than the others.it says,a good advisor, never follows his own advise....

You can't do anything to change it, people will still ask if wear a blue or red shirt....

But thumbs up for your question

    Yep, you are quite correct.

People who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. (I am paraphrasing a famous quote here).
