Being a former player I am a bit partial to Fender. The Stratocaster and Telecaster models served me well. They are easy playing and do not punish your fingertips. For the most part the fretboard and necks usually remain true and straight during the life of the instrument, and with good care it will last you a lifetime. I hoped this has helped.

I think the best brand is Fender. I've played many electric guitars and I've found out that Fender is the best. The amplifier must also be Fender's because it has a great Clean sound and a good Overdrive sound. Try it!!!

I have owned Yamaha's; I like the sound but the necks are a bit chunky for my small hands.
If you want to spend money then it is Gibson all the way.
Charvel/Jackson makes a decent bargain version of their axes too.
I think the best bang for the buck is Dean. I have loved everything I have ever picked up from them and they are pretty cheap.

Depends on the type of music you are playing and how much you want to spend.
Recommend Fender or Ibanez for rock. Remember, you get what you pay for... get the best that you can afford.

This is the same package that I used for my first guitar, and it's pretty reliable, with a good pedal and an amp it can actually perform very well.
