How is your experience about Windows Vista?
I want to know about Vista's user review as I am going to upgrade soon.

Honestly, I can't stand it. Sure, it looks flashier, and has DirectX 10, but a lot of programs that ran on XP crash frequently on Vista. I'd check out the user review on C.Net.
I also dislike the new layout of folders. In my opinion, they tried to simplify things, but for an experienced computer user like myself, it just takes a lot longer for me to customize my options or get to the features that I want.
TWO THUMBS DOWN
EDIT: Oh yeah, as the others say, it takes up TONS of memory. The windows and display hardly looks that much better to justify the mega expansion in system hogging. usually, it's using around 400-500 megs of RAM, if no non-Windows programs are running. So if you wanted to run programs at a decent rate, you would need at least one gig of RAM. If you want to run some of the current PC games, try 2 - 4 gigs or RAM. Ridiculous.
EDIT: I have Home Premium and it has all the current updates and patches, not that it's done much good.

Vista is so bad that Microsoft has started supporting XP again.
A lot of the big computer companies have had to take vista off of the new computers and load xp back because the customers have brought it back due to vista.
Vista does not play well with other software or hardware and unless your intending on buying all new hardware (printers, scanners etc) don't upgrade.
Don't upgrade to Vista until microsoft has released at least the first service pack to fix all the glitches. I would wait minimum a year.
Also, I just read in the news that Microsoft has a new OS coming out in 2010, what that tells me is even Microsoft knows it's garbage just like Windows ME was it's easier for them to write a new OS then to fix Vista.

I suggest you not to upgrade to vista now itself , as said above vista is not more better than XP instead it got few security problems and its having a lot of compatibility problems with the softwares , I used it in february and I shifted back to windows XP after a few consistent hanging problems on vista and my PC is a very high configured one so it's not that vista didn't work because it is not a good PC.
I hope my suggestions help you , if you are desperate in upgrading then wait for a few more months and upgrade to vista home premium or above !

So far, it's been allright, performanc-wise.. I've got Home Premium...
But, it TAKES A HELL OF A LOT OF RAM memory!! The appearance is quite glossy and flash, but all the animations and extra desktop perks etc slow down the computer a lot...
If I had it my way, I'd go back to XP Pro, as there are that many more software out there for it.
Would definately stay with XP until Vista's bugs have been ironed out more with more acceptance of softwares...
After all, a lot of stores are demanding a recall of XP again because of so many dissatisified Vista customers.

Its cool, but needs loads of system resources. Also its not compatible with some softwares. So do shift to it but after sometime. Compatibility problems will be solved till then...

definite, through fact of this you have 2 actual cores each and each working at 3.2GHz. that still potential that the processor is your bottleneck. that's the slowest of all your factors, for this reason it may decelerate overall performance. evaluate upgrading your processor.
