Hon, you can buy any food item that is not "hot" in most supermarkets, just make sure you keep to a budget just like with cash, so they last all month.

If they receive food stamps, they should have gotten a list of foods that are okay to purchase with them. I know that eggs, cheese, milk, butter, etc. are all okay to purchase with food stamps. I am unsure about deli lunchmeat.

okay heres the low down on food stamp items:

any food products that have to be cooked, coffee, milk, tea, sugar, flour, candy, cokes, chips, frozen pizza, anything that has to be cooked

    things that cannot be bought:

washing powders, bleach, tolet paper, paper plates, paper towels or any paper product.

nothing already cooked like mcdonalds, or any fast food or already prepared food,

however that does not include the deli area of the grocery store ham, bologna, cheese, those can be bought with food stamps

    hope that helps!!

You can buy anything that is edible, including soda, ect. No beer, booze, paper products, cleaning products, pet stuff. You could buy any meats, deli, a wedding cake if you had to. If you can eat it, you can use the stamps for it.

No swapping stamps, selling them or letting others use them, its illegal and you will get caught.

It all depends on the income that you have coming into your household and the number of people you have in your household. That's what qualify you, whether or not you will receive food stamps or not. Also, you can buy any kinds of food except cooked foods.

In Michigan you get just about everything you wanted excepted for tobacco, alchol, and hot deli items (like prepared chicken).

i unfortunately had to use them for a while. you can get deli stuff, as long as it's not hot things like chicken, or meatloaf. at least in ca that's the way it works. you can buy a truck full of twinkies with them, but you can't buy preheated food!!! go figure...

Well you have to meet the finacial needs test and you have to go to deli that accepts food stamps.

You have to meet the criteria in order to be eligible to receive them. You can go to the same place you file for unemployment and all of that in order to sign up for them.

Foodstamps (or like on a debit card) is based on your income and situation. See your local welfare department for information. You can use it for FOOD ONLY...no liquor, no magazines, cigarettes, etc.
