What colour is the bear?

I know everyone knows the reasoning behind the obvious answer, but where ELSE on this planet can you do the same manoeuvre and and up EXACTLY where you started from?

(I.E. 1 mile south, 1mile east or west, 1 mile north)

Update:

I'm not talking about the north pole; that's the obvious answer!!

You cannot travel south from the south pole. Think harder!!!
