There are a number of idiots out there who will hurl inane insults that really have no basis or point, just for the sake of it. If you qualify such stupidity by responding to it or even recognizing it in this type of anonymous posting forum, you provide it with legs it shouldn't have.
Ignore the fool. He evidently is not a martial artists of any experience, quality, or quantity or he would never respond or reply in such a manner.
Rise above it and simply ignore such stupidity. Recognize the valid, intelligent, and thoughtful members on these forums and simply pity the idiots like Betty. They must have a very sad life to find such things entertaining and worthy of their time and effort.

"Martial Artist" is such a broad term these days that you cannot expect any more or less from another person even if they did take an oath or agree to a creed. It doesn't mean a thing. Society in general does not take responsibility for their actions.
Martial Arts schools cannot be expected to compete with a culture that teaches people to deny, use offense as defense, and always blame someone else with as much passion as they can muster. I don't agree with blaming the parents as that is just part of the blame-shifting. The parents then turn and blame the schools, who blame the legislators for lack of funds, etc. Its a wheel of decadence and it will continue, because it is effective.
BTW- The E-mail probably did not even come from a "child" but more likely an actor using ghost accounts who didn't like your opinion about something.
Solution? Turn your E-mail off.

Sounds uselessly rude.
If it's worth anything, I always found your opinions enlightening and interesting.
Said member should consider taking more time pondering the Bushido Code.
The parents? Not sure they have a clue what kids do these days, with the extended workweeks and the TV blaring whenever the family meets and the complete nihilism of contemporary society.

Does one comment really get to you so much that you needed to make another thread about it?
Pretty weak IMO.
