Good places to spend time around Klang and Kuala Lumpur?

Im trying to get ideas on what I can do around here with a bunch of friends, you guys have any tips or name of places that you might think is interesting..?

Anything is fine, I dont mind settling down in a quiet restaurant or getting crazy at some water park.. if thats what its called, hahaha..

Thanks in advance, guys.. :-)

Honestly, I don't quite like shopping malls and those kind of places where I have to burn a hole in my wallet... as a matter of fact, I come to realize that there's nothing much to do or where to go around the Klang Valley too... cos' I'm stuck after visiting only a 'few' places and I was told 'that is the highlights' of Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley.

For the last few days I've been reviewing the places around Klang Valley once again since my girlfriend is here (and to rediscover new things if I've been missing out)... here are some of the possibilities for a good hang out time (quality time well spent with friends):

    -National Zoo@ Zoo Negara

-Lake Gardens (yes, Taman Tasik Perdana, Titiwangsa and

-Shah Alam are some of the 'nice' places to hang out)

    -Bird Park

    -Butterfly Farm

    -Deer Park

    -Orchid Garden

-Putrajaya Botanical Garden (and ANYWHERE Putrajaya)

    -National Museum (KL)

-Selangor Museum (Shah Alam ---admission FREE)

    -Batu Caves

-PJ Thai Chetawan temple (its one of the ONLY Thai temples officiated by the Thai royal household, including the royal insignia of King Bhumipol Adulyadej) in Jalan Gasing ---worth visiting especially if you're bringing friends from out of town/overseas.

-Kuala Selangor (seriously its worth the time to travel to/fro just for the 'old town' feeling, PLUS, fireflies :-))

-Taman Pertanian Malaysia (Malaysian Agricultural Farm)/Shah Alam

-Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) in Kepong

Hmmm I think there's a few others but here is just a few of the things that I have to share with you...
