Has anyone here ever had a brain anuerism?

I had what the doctors called a "giant anuerism" three years ago. They did surgery and told me I should be able to go back to work in a few days. I tried, but I had severe memory loss and ended up taking early retirement. Was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

Update:

To Christi C. Thank you for your wishes. I'm sorry about what happened to your brother in law. I'm a nurse too-or was until the anuerism. Once I retired, there were no follow up visits. I didnt have the money to go to the same doctors and the doctors with my new insurance tell me to do crossword puzzles and read a lot. It's working, but I still have things I guess I'll never remember.

My brother-in-law has the same thing. However, instead of memory loss, he has severe weakness on his right side. His grip is only that of a 3 year old in his right hand. He also gets a lot of headaches. What did the doc say during your follow-up visits when you told him of your memory loss? You should have been recommended for some type of therapy or rehab to find out what else besides the memory loss was affected. Good luck to you.

Yes, George Bush, but his cabinet is afraid to tell him!
