Wow... You're really confused-it's obvious!!!! Love,my dear is an abstract feeling and that is why is somewhat leave us or some of us perplex sometimes... All the situations that you've described above can be considered love...

You are one the two extremities as it seems to me-you know what love is, and simultaneously,you don't know what it is! Highly understandable...

I would be glad to explain what love means,but it is not meant to be ,gauged,tested nor said: it is meant ot be felt... So to all the many questions you've ask,you are the only one to answer...normally when you are close to somebody you feel something for him/her!

If it's the other way round,i.e somebody is close to you-you may not feel something for the prson as it's him/her who is close to you...see...
