does reincarnation exist?

YES... it is a major belief in the Buddahist Religion.

First of all, it's very much related to religion. People like to be reassured about meaningless death. Especially when young people die; people find it hard to accept that he or she is no longer there. The idea of reincarnation seems more credible than that of heaven, and more reassuring than the cruel 'that's all'.

Having said that: there is some reincarnation "evidence" that is really astounding. The "evidence" usually comes from cultures where people strongly believe in reincarnation, and it usually concerns young people who died. People are born with the precise knowledge of neighbourhoods where they've never been, precise knowledge about how a young person has died before they were born, and in some cases knowledge about a language they have never learned. To me, the knowledge is so precise that coincidence just doesn't make sense.

I think it works the same as with ghosts. Ghosts are often young people with a strong mindset and strong goals in their lives, who die all of a sudden. Especially with strong mindsets and cruel sudden deaths, I think you could imagine that 'something' is left behind and picked up. This 'something' could be picked up as a ghost appearance, or it could be picked up by somebody who is born. This child will therefore have the feeling that he had a previous life.

In societies where there is not a strong believe in reincarnation, the child may think that this memory is not relevant (nobody ever asks for it, or takes it seriously) and thus forget it. But in buddhist countries there are cases that are sometimes well-known to many people. This doesn't mean that everybody has previous and next lives. Obvious question: how can the memories or emotions of a dead person be stored or picked up by somebody else?

A friend of mine wrote: "There is a memory left behind by everything we do, and every thought we have. Our science has not yet discovered a missing element in the universe, and this is consciousness. Consciousness is energy, it transcends time and it vibrates just as radio or light waves. It is most likely to be picked up by someone or something that vibrates on roughly the same frequency." I believe in science, and there is an approach to reincarnation that comes close to a scientific one. Heaven and hell? No, that doesn't make sense to me. People always disagree about what is good and bad.

Good question. Firstly, there ain't no heaven, aint no hell - it is but a word for the places the living make of. Heaven is supposed to be bright and blue and cheerful..why are we all still here? Hell is for the pullpit folk who cannot or will not pull their weight and are treated very badly..some worse than others..yet we all have the means to stop it..no one seems to know how as they carry on preaching in the heavens and hells and nothing gets done to solve the problem or peace on a worldwide scale. We all have needs and wants..they all create wars and conflicting arguments. The current generation has everything it requires to succeed as the last generation fought for it to be so. The expacetation of re-incarnation being true is to an extent very true and real. Sometimes you can see it in your dreams and sub-conscience mind. It reflects back to a time when you were someone else or something else...like a cat, or dog, worm or bird..even a tree. All living things revolve in time and matter and it can take longer periods before actually coming to seed. Therefore, what has happened in the distant past will come back to you in a similar way either by thinking about it..or asking yourself why does something happen..answering yourself along these lines you can actually see past, present and future models of your being. It don't take in religious beliefs nor humane things like that..they create conflicts just to keep in under wraps and under control - clever people those old folk or a by-gone era. It's no use killing yourself to find out what if...try living and see what that brings. You can see re-incarnation of living things by taking in nature walks, through parks and forests..the human factor involved is such a strangle hold as it contains too many laws and too many regulations and too many folk trying to uphold these..but a walk out there will show you what is and what is not. Enlightening is a niche, living is for real.

I believe reincarnation exists, but not the way we think of it. Let's say you die to day, and you were buried in a pine box or something biodegradable and outside of a cemetary. Then as your body decays, and you become one with the earth, you become beneficial to the other organisms as well, trees, microbes and the like. I figure at some point you could very well end up as some type of living thing, it just might not be human.

yes. the soul is a type of energy a very special type of energy. it is made from light but depending on how the human died will effect how it will end up like if u were a murder u would end up in hell because u did so many sins. and if u were a good person and died of a gun shot wound or any else type of death u could go up to heaven and if u were non vielent and peacful that u wouldnt harm a fly u woul be one with the earth

Your soul is energy. When the body dies, depending on the death, the soul waits for a newborns body to live in. It is unable to make the baby talk and walk and eventually loses it's memory by the time an infant can form words. ...

I think both exist, wouldn't heaven get overpopulated, I believe that if you want to go back, god would let you, thus reincarnation exists.

I believe when we die we sleep in the grave until the final judgement of all mankind. Our choices will determine our final destination.
