how do i replace my maytag dryer element?

    How do you know that the element is defective ? Go to this

    go along the edge of the top and depress the spring clips that hold the top down

    raise up the top of the dryer and the heat element is in the back right there on the top

    before you go a fixing this dryer,be sure to kill the power to the machine. unplug it. older models have the element below the drum

    in that case remove the front panel after poping the top

    TIP: you can buy a restring kit way cheaper than the whole mailbox. The mailbox is the heatchamber, notably because it looks sorta like a mailbox.

    And Sears doesnt own Maytag, Whirlpool owns Maytag.

    go to sears...they own maytag now and ask them
