All dogs go into heat 2 times a year, basically every 6 months..how old is your boxer? She shouldn't be bred till she is 2 yrs old, finished growing and had a vet check for inherited bad genes, hips ect...first off google dog breeding online and read up as much as you can so you totally 100% understand their heat cycle, best time to breed, what is involved in breeding and whelping a litter...it's not just stick two dogs together and get pregnant and out pop pups...there are all sorts of problems that can occur and boxers can carry some genetic defects for deafness that I would look into first hand. Do some more research on your own online, that's what I have done since I will be breeding my rottie in the spring, I want to know every detail required so when the time comes I am prepared for breeding, pregnancy and whelping. Good luck.

First of all, you need to make sure that both dogs get along. You will never successfully breed dogs if they don't like each other. My advice would to have the dogs play together a few days of every week so they can build a good relationship. When it comes to the female being in heat. From my experience, all dogs go into heat once or twice a year for about 14 days. This usually happens after about 1 and a half years of age. If you're trying to breed, its best to start a couple days after you see that your boxer is in heat and then breed everyday for the next 7 days. I've breed three dogs in my past and that always worked for me. Good luck! It's not easy.

you DO NOT try to breed your boxer until you have FINISHED it in the show ring... the judges will evaluate your dog and let you know if it has the traits ( conformation, temperament etc.) that would be beneficial the the boxer breed as a whole,,,, THEN you will get your dogs hips exrayed and certified clear of hip dysplasia, then you will have elbows and eyes cleared too... and any other genetic health issue that plagues boxers... then you will carefully research her pedigree and then and only then, after much much careful consideration will you be able to possibly choose a stud dog ( compatible stud dog could live across the country) then you would have to be prepared to ship your dog to the stud dog for breeding etc. etc. etc.. ( ALL OF THE HEALTH CLEARANCES MUST BE DONE AFTER AGE 2) so in the meantime, enter the dog shows, start studying pedigrees,, or

usually twice a year, it depends on the time, but ussually fall and spring. Lasts about 2 weeks at least. You will see bleeding, and she will be really anxious, and antsy. If you already have a male or know one you will use you should start putting them together as soon as you notice any signs. But if you really have all these questions you should go to your vet and probably not breed. There is a lot more to breeding than just getting them pregnant, it's not just easy money epecially if you want healthy puppies that will pass better the breed! Maybe your best bet would be to spay her ahead of time. Don't do something that you are inexperienced at cause these are little babies, and your dogs health to worry about. It can become extremely expensive when there are problems too!

ok i be conscious of what you're dealing with. My 7 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous lady boxer remains no longer spayed and on each and every occasion she is going into warmth, she pukes. Or if she inhales water or nutrition, she pukes too. i'm a boxer lover or maybe if you selection could be on spaying, thats your selection. dont pay attention to those people harping you on spaying your dogs. I dont pay no suggestions to them the two..its my selection. yet adequate of the spaying ingredient, i be conscious of what you sense and that i feed my canines purina kibbles mini chunks. they like it! I even have fed my canines purina for some years and that they like it. The vet even says its a stable dogs nutrition so i dont be conscious of what those each and every physique is conversing approximately. yet i'm hoping issues get extra advantageous and god bless you and your loved ones

Have you health tested the dam? What about the sire? Are they both AKC registered ? Do you know what you are doing or are you a backyard breeder that I will untimately have to 'rescue' the offspring when they become unruly since you are unsure what you are doing? Please, please, please take a minute to consider breeding any animal. The pet population is exploding more so everyday with unwanted pets and more and more are being euthanized due to unknowing & uninformed breeders. Even skilled breeders run into problems with all the knowledge they have. I implore you to reconsider your breeding plans.

If you have to ask all these questions, then you have no business what-so-ever even THINKING about breeding your dog.

    Have her spayed - Period.

You should go to the vet and have them tell you all this
